What are your FAVORITE things to do on a Cruise ??

Me ? Talk to fellow cruise members and the Crew Staff, buffets, excursions, watch the big shows, and the small duo or trio entertainers, relax on the sun deck - and ALWAYS, enjoy the views. Love the embarkation process, dislike the debarkation process.

A little sad that skeet shooting, the midnight buffet, and tossing the ex overboard in international waters are no longer happening, nor allowed.

Thoroughly enjoyed reading THIS thread...all the reasons we cruise...having a difficult time waiting for our next one...trying to get over that "spend more get less" thing....not good for our mental health...other than venting in here, whats the point? not gonna stop, not while we can still crawl onboard....

Watch ship get underway, listen to horns blast, eat eat eat, watch playlist shows, comedy, violin players, listen to steel drum player on lido deck while watching half naked women roast themselves, yes I am a dirty ol man!!

Ah, if only that were true. I'd weigh about 150 lbs if it was.

I too, love the early morning walks topside. The joggers can lap me, I do not care. The fresh Ocean air, the sun, the crew, the feeling that I am doing something healthy to counteract all the booze and buffets !!! Two miles of walking equates to the breakfast buffet, three red wines, two rusty nails, and (don't pick on me) one or two pina coladas ! Life is a balance !!! Enjoy !!

I stated that I put on my WALKING shoes. I have never jogged, even when I was young enough to do so.

Of course you’re allowed. Those are wonderful things. I don’t see sunrises because we sleep until we wake up and that’s definitely after sunrise when cruising. Naps are also a great cruise “activity”.

Some very good answers here and I concur with most of them, save for AB's jogging. I'd also like to throw in just being away from all the worries of everyday life at home.

Am I allowed to say all the things?

I love the shows (all forms), the food, the naps (I have had some of my lifetime best naps on a cruise ship). I like to get to say I visited 4 countries in a week. I like the fact of going "clubbing" on a Tuesday being acceptable lol. I like chatting with the crew. I love to sit aft during sunset and watch the ship's wake. I love the water slides.

I like being up to watch the sunrise from my balcony or sneak out and not wake my sister and go watch from a higher deck.

Seriously, there is not anything on the ship I dislike. My biggest dislike about cruising in general is having to get off the ship and come back to reality.

My answer was two, inside and outside. I got it wrong! Of course I had to get a banana at brealfast the next morning to check it out! As you peal the banana, it should have 5 sections, Sometimes they peal two a time, but if you look at the inside of the pealing you can see the distinct sections.

I'm an early riser. I usually wake between 5 and 5:30, put on my walking shoes and do two miles around the ship's jogging track. I greet a few kindred souls, and we exchange pleasantries as we pass each other. I tip my hat and say hello to the ships maintenance people who are hosing down the decks and arranging furniture. The coffee is brewed by the time I'm done. I grab a cup and settle in on the side of an upper deck that faces east so I can enjoy the smell of the sea air while watching a glorious sunrise. If it's a port day, I also watch the island come into view as the ship ever so slowly glides along the water toward the docks. By then some other passengers start filtering about, so I refill my coffee and grab a chair on the aft patio (serenity deck on CCL ships) and people watch. This usually leads to a conversation with a fellow passenger, typically in my age group. After that I return to our cabin. My wife is awake by then, and after I change cloths we head down to breakfast.

Absolutely the best part of my day.
