What are your FAVORITE things to do on a Cruise ??

Me ? Talk to fellow cruise members and the Crew Staff, buffets, excursions, watch the big shows, and the small duo or trio entertainers, relax on the sun deck - and ALWAYS, enjoy the views. Love the embarkation process, dislike the debarkation process.

A little sad that skeet shooting, the midnight buffet, and tossing the ex overboard in international waters are no longer happening, nor allowed.

Lynn and I love cruising. We are going soon

Isn't it delightful, even thinking about a cruise makes me excited.

Lynn is excited

Yes, it's what we do. The way I see it, the "angst" is just us guarding ourselves from the unexpected. And we have to be on guard, for whatever comes up, we'll have to immediately deal with it, and we do.

The relief is the reward we give ourselves for our vigilance, for we're now onboard, and we can let our guard down. We skirted or overcame life's uncertainties.

Agree 100% as well. I go through the exact same thing ... waiting for the wheels to fall off the cart .. untill I am through the boarding process and waiting to get on the ship. Then I relax.

I agree 1000%. I feel a sense of angst every single time we leave the house to cruise and go thru the boarding process. Actually I stop feeling it when humping up the gangway. THATS when I know we're just fine..Call it paranoia or whatever, like some strange forces will conspire to screw it up.. every single time, even after all these cruises. As for the other, outstanding remark, but its too complicated for the troll to understand.

When are strangers NOT random?

Get onboard. That’s it. That’s how I know my vacation has begun, and that I can relax. The rest is ancillary.

It was the topic that I wanted to emphasize!

Normally I would agree with you, but when dealing with trolls responses of any kind are not helpful. Her posts disappear almost ASA they appear, fortunately. Other people in here have it figured out, and one with a really interesting AVATAR pic. Good for him (them). Sometimes folks in here can communicate without actually communicating!

Actually her complaint is not uncommon. I wanted to adress the issue. We have a lot of people who read this forum but don't comment. I just don't want people to take away the joy the ducks bring. I've seen a few people see them and toss them in the trash. On our last sailing, I met one of the folks who brought ducks. He was depressed by the folks who actually yelled at him for hiding the ducks. It made his joy disappear and he wanted nothing more than to get off the ship. It doesn't hurt a thing to be kind.
