I always thought that cruising was an expensive hobby.
Since the cabin fever started kicking in, I decided to go to San Antonio to see what was happening there.
Did a little shopping and ended up having our offer on a house accepted. Closing should be in about three weeks.
This not cruising thing will drive me to bankruptcy!

Used to live in Colorado Springs when I was at the academy -- hated my time there, but loved the area. I would move there, but 30 years of living in the South Texas heat has made me allergic to the cold!

The older we get the more we dislike the cold. I was born and grew up here, never thought we'd be back. DH's last assignment was at Peterson AFB in the Springs. I am glad to be near family but read to stop being cold. The "snowbird" lifestyle is sounding fantastic!

Congratulations on your new home! We have lived in San Antonio twice while my DH was on active duty. I enjoyed it and would return without hesitation. But Colorado is my true home! Hope you can cruise soon so you can save money!

Loved the River Walk. My buddy and I met a couple female AF officers at a bar there, and had a great afternoon/evening.
I could see myself retiring there, although my wife is partial to Scottsdale, AZ..
