Well, If I Can't Cruise...

I always thought that cruising was an expensive hobby.

Since the cabin fever started kicking in, I decided to go to San Antonio to see what was happening there.

Did a little shopping and ended up having our offer on a house accepted. Closing should be in about three weeks.

This not cruising thing will drive me to bankruptcy!Big Smile

"Solamente en San Antonio"

Loved the River Walk. My buddy and I met a couple female AF officers at a bar there, and had a great afternoon/evening.

I could see myself retiring there, although my wife is partial to Scottsdale, AZ..

Congratulations on your new home! We have lived in San Antonio twice while my DH was on active duty. I enjoyed it and would return without hesitation. But Colorado is my true home! Hope you can cruise soon so you can save money!Wink

Congratulations on the new home Big Smile

Thanks for the well-wishes, friends.

Used to live in Colorado Springs when I was at the academy -- hated my time there, but loved the area. I would move there, but 30 years of living in the South Texas heat has made me allergic to the cold!

The older we get the more we dislike the cold. I was born and grew up here, never thought we'd be back. DH's last assignment was at Peterson AFB in the Springs. I am glad to be near family but read to stop being cold. The "snowbird" lifestyle is sounding fantastic!Wink

HMMM....an occifer eh??? well, better than having to work for a living....hehehehe

Ya but... the occifer he canned when the enlisted fail to perform to their best!Surprised

Whut?? i'm confuzzled...canned? who??? 2lt's were to be avoided, or if you couldn't, then ignored..1lt's and capts, well, they learned their trade or didnt get to be 1lts or capts...anything above that, hardly saw em...especially when things got noisy....AF types??? nice blue suits...if I had any brains, I wouldve traded it all in for 3 hots and a cot...it was all a looooong time ago, in a place far far away, that actually doesn't even exist anymore...jeez I need a cruise....

Yes, you need a cruise. So do I! I guess I saw too many commanders relieved for not passing IG inspections. Things look different from the wife’s viewpoint. Many of my friends were often in tears.
