C+............ Well at least it was a passing grade, or are you grading on a curve? I mean, were allowances made for the fact that the ship didn't sink, or run aground? That could bring any cruise's grade up.
Anyway.......... glad you're home safe
I agree Not sinking would help the curve!!!
You could be right! This cruise was heavy with experienced cruisers and the lines a customer service were long. i am happy to take a break from cruising while the cruise lines try to sort things out. Also, my attitude needs some adjusting.
Bet you never thought you'd say that eh? Been touting that "cruise within a cruise" for awhile now. Self defense. Back in the day, really didn't matter what your status was or even your cabin level...you EXPECTED things to be a certain way. Thats why folks cruised..They're just not anymore...COVID might have been the catalyst, but the cruise lines are working real hard to see just how little they can provide in service and quality. And just how much MORE they can charge for the privilege. Yep, gonna keep on keeping on, its too late to start all over. Lets see if I can turn all those prior cruises to my advantage. More planning..
Thanks for the review. Sorry that it was not up to snuff. But sadly I suspect that as lines move back to 100% capacity that service on the lower tiers will degrade as ships are facing staffing issues as staff is over worked due to less crew, and more duties due to new protocols and sickness within the staff. Not like they can call a temp agency when a dozen book off sick for the shift. We may start to see a shift in service levels where the cruise within the cruise group gets preferential treatment while the rest get herded about (think first class vs steerage).
Everything old is new again.

We did. We had kne at debarkation too, but that wasn't Royal's fault. Our hotel shuttle left us there at the port!
That is an oops. Glad it did not ruin the vacation.
Welcome back! I'll go read your review.
Sounds like you had a great cruise .. other than the embarkation bump.
