There’s no such thing as a dumb question

Yeah, whoever said that never read a cruise forum.

What is the dumbest question you’ve ever seen posted on a forum ? I mean , besides this one.

I've always found "No speaka da...." to be effective.

Nope, but there's a bunch of bartenders INSIDE that can!!!

For a Western Caribbean cruise sailing in August:

"Why is it so hot outside? Cant the cruise line do anything about it?"

Yknow the risk you run when you give someone onboard with you an equally ridiculous (or erroneous) answer to some of the absurd questions that get asked. You're liable to run into them again...usually at the next table...or in an elevator, or sitting next to you at a bar... Don't get me wrong, asking reasonably intelligent questions, ESPECIALLY in person...whether a newbie or an experienced cruiser (they NEVER ask anyway) is perfectly fine and if I can help I'm happy to...on the other hand, sometimes "sorry I don't know" is the best policy...in cyber on the other hand........five fingers....moving on....

Some other classics ...

"How does the crew go home between shifts?"

"Does it cost to eat in the dining room?"

"How do they know I'm the right person to use my {insert cruise line name of their on board card} there's no ID picture on it?"

"Can I deep sea fish off my balcony?"

I kid you not: I was shopping at the Port Shopping mall in Nassau. The ships could CLEARLY be seen to my left from the street. A fellow passenger came up to me and asked me where the cruise ship was!

Any "is it worth it? questions.

My wife and I were waiting in the rear elevator Lobby when I heard one passenger ask another " Which elevator goes to the front?"

Here's my favorite. Supposedly overheard by someone in line at the Guest Service desk on embarkation day.

"Why is the category of my cabin referred to as "Ocean View" when all I can see out the window is the cruise port?"

Well now that I happened to reread your question...you asked what is the dumbest question you've ever seen POSTED ON A FORUM..BESIDES THIS ONE ..either this forum or your question?...yuk yuk..j/k) Another forum (which shall go nameless) woman wanted to know if cruising solo meant she couldn't bring another person "to share"....hmmmmmmmm..........
