The heated laminators "could" darken the thermal vaccine sticker. A cold laminate would mitigate that. You can also find plastic "name tag" holders that are the right size to keep it protected. That way you can remove if a booster would be required. Those name tag holders can come with clips or lanyard strings if you want to nerd out.

Oh well, there goes that $4 you spent for lamination film at Walmart.

Hope you kept the receipt.

According to the news both STAPLES and OFFICE DEPOT will laminate your cards apparently for free. Saw it on the news. GOOGLED the subjects and yes, they will, nationwide...dozens of news outlets/tv reporting it. .

By the time the laminate destroys the card, I’ll be dead, or it won’t be necessary. We have a hot/cold temp laminator. I’ll do ours.

Probably gonna cost almost as much....heheheheh...besides "their" legal dept could add 5-10 forms or docs to "justify" their price increases., and their own jobs....oooooohhhhhh yeah!!!...and, those folks at the terminals, behind the counter, aren't they ALL "port employees"? hmmm...so why should they care either??? leave your first-born as security...sign here here here here here here and....here,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Oh yeah, a whole lot of documentation for THEIR protection. You got that right.

I hope their legal dept. will be able to consolidate all the docs down to one, or two. I don't want our embarkation to feel like we're closing on a home purchase.

Good for you DNB...just GETTING the shot series completed is a big load off...I know it was for us...as for the lamination "destroying it eventually" never heard of such nonsense in my life...I got TWO military ID's issued 11,000 years ago and they look just fine...other than the fact I can't believe I looked THAT good back then heheheh...my old shot card on the other hand, is barely legible and faded...I did discover that apparently in INDIA they don't like it if you laminate something for a variety of reasons...but that way if you do...to protect a doc from the heat, humidity, monsoons, etc, you need to get ANOTHER one....in India.....riiiiiight...amazing what you can find on the web.....I'd still like a link to something "official" that says not to laminate em....not that I care...wouldn't surprise me one bit if the cruise lines added an assortment of docs because of the pandemic...for THEIR protection........

I got my 2nd shot 2 days ago and went to Staples to get my card laminated and I was immediately told by the clerk that laminating the card would destroy it eventually. The clerk would laminate it for free, but, I would have to sign a waiver if I wanted to get it done. So I decided to take a picture with my phone front and back. This will give me a backup for now. At the time I received the shot, I also received confirmation emails for my appointments, a copy of my health record and verification I had received the shots from the provider. Since, these are paper cards they will be easy to duplicate and forge. There will always be someone willing to take advantage of the system. I guess the cruise lines can have you sign a document that says false information and documents will be punishable under penalty of the law.

Outstanding advice kids!!!!!!

Can also keep a snap of it on your phone
