Here's the best hint.
While everyone is standing in the elevator banks trying to go down, go off to the end and press the UP^ button. Chances are the car will be empty. Get on it !!!!! Then just go for the ride. The elevators are always full going down, but empty going up.
I tried that on my last cruise, didn't work.
We always have FTTF, so crew members with radios control the elevator and finds us room on one pretty quick.
