Questions re: NCL Escape family oceanview for 5

We are a family of 5. 3 kids, 2 are teens. I was originally pricing 2 interior cabins near each other on the Escape or Epic - but i noticed on the Escape their FAMILY OCEANVIEW with LARGE window does allow up to 5 people. I would think it would be a tight fit and I'm having a hard time visualizing how it would be at night - are their 2 pull mans and where are they located, etc...

On our last cruise we really spent very little time in the cabin. We slept like logs, and then got up for the day and quickly got ready - none of us take an extremely long time getting ready for dinners/day excursions, etc.

Anyone stay in one of these rooms or have input?

Thanks,

Leslie

When you add your future cruise to roll calls - click the tab on top to the right of forum that says MORE, your countdown will start to appear under your name.

how do you add the countdown below your name?

thanks!

Congratulations on your booking! Hope you have a wonderful time. I'm looking forward to your review when you return.

I hope you have a great cruise. It should be a vacation that everyone enjoys Big Smile, maybe even some time for Mom and Dad to be alone while kids are in the youth programs........I'm seeing dinner for two in the French restaurant with a nice bottle of red wine ?????

I have never sailed on this ship nor had more than two passenger in a cabin.

Nice!

We ended up booking 2 adjoining interiors so the teens will have their "own room". We really don't spend much time in the room, but I think 2 rooms will make bathroom and just storage space more do-able. Excited. Booked last night. Norwegian Escape Eastern out of Miami 7 days, Jan 6-13/18! Thanks for the input. Leslie

I think most of the newer ships have berths that drop from the ceiling above the beds when each bed is against the wall and the 5th on the sofa. With 5 in one cabin it will be very cozy. Most I have done is 3 adults in a cabin.

With 5 in a room, bathroom shower time will be busy, You may see of the gym has showers for after excursion and before dinner showers.... just a thought.

I don't have direct experience with the NCL Escape - but I have always thought that the cramped (and claustrophobic) experience of a lower deck inside cabin would be well worth it - with the reasoning that one is rarely in the cabin except to wash up or sleep. The Family Ocean View shouldn't be claustrophobic at all! The slight rub MIGHT be close quarters tend to exacerbate the effects of illness...
