For many of us on this site who have been to the lovely place called Lahaina, I'm sure we are all praying for the residents and visitors who are in a bit of a situation at the moment.
I can only promise you that once you rebuild we will be back to visit and support the many fine folks that we met while we were there.

I do not envy the Firefighters on Maui whatsoever. there were handed an absolute feces sandwich, and all of those brothers and sisters took a huge bite, and dealt with it.
70mph winds, a failed water supply system, and 60-70 Firefighters covering a 700sqmi Island on a shift, with 2 other major fires occurring was a recipe for disaster.
Fire behaves very differently with that kind of wind fueling and driving it.
Not to mention many of them lost homes and probably loved ones and friends as well.

ATTENTION CRUISE LINERS-The people of Maui need your help NOW. Get those ships over to Maui so the people who lost everything can have a place to stay while trying to rebuild their lives. There are so many people who want to help rebuild the island. You could be the heros that came through for the people of Maui. Think about it!!
I was in Maui in May. Not only is it one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to, but there were also many historic old buildings and the second largest banyan tree in the world. These pale in comparison to the human loss of lives, homes and livelihood.
Once they can receive visitors, they will welcome the tourist dollars. Recovery is going to take a very long time. Sending postive thoughts and prayers for now.
