Has anyone else found that drink packages are over the top since post Covid. NCL gives you the "free at sea" premium drink package when booking which actually costs $305.00 to cover gratuity for two people, no problem there. The up graded drink package is $2318.40, not including gratuity for two. My large balcony stateroom total for the cruise was $1,236 per person. This is my 4th NCL cruise and probable my last as cruising use to be about the one price covers most things to do which was the reason for a cruise vacation vs land vacation. . Now the price doesn't cover anything even when its" free"

Still a lot of demand from everyone who were in cruise "withdrawal". When the pain threshold gets high enough, guests will probably throttle back on the discretionary stuff - and go more a la carte.

I've noticed prices increasing while some perks decreasing. I guess the cruise lines (most of them anyway) are trying to recoup some of their losses during the shutdown. As cosumers we just have to decide if we are willing to pay more for less (sadly not just for cruising).
