A bridge collapses meaning you circle inside a cruise port for 6 days. A storm makes you walk on wet carpet in the passageways for 6 days. A whale tail catches fire and leaves you with no working fire extinguishers for six days afloat. Do you still cruise ?? What do you do for fun during these scheduled cruising six days (and nights) ??

Carnival's older ships still have them. The newer ships only have ironing rooms and neither on the Costa/Carnival hybred.

I mean, we all pay Government Fees on our cruises...so we technically are paying Ol' Uncle Sam for the privilege....Im looking at my invoice for December, where I'm paying $125 in "Government Fees"
Ive been a few places where the beer was forbidden, and the only reason the food was hot, was the ambient temperature was in the low 100's, so I fully understand your point.

In my job, there's no such thing as perfection. The same is true here. I'd go with the flow and explore the ship. You're on a cruise, on vacation, which is better than staying at home. Go enjoy an extra drink at the bar, take in a show, etc.
My clothes were pre wrinkled when I bought em. Comfort at all times is the name of the game out here. The critters are duly impressed by my wardrobe I can assure you. Don't even shoot at em. They just wander off laffin.

My DH would be there ironing also, so we need one of the rooms with two ironing board. We'd be having our own party. See you there! I've met some really interesting people in the laundry rooms aboard ship over the years.
