Now its ANTHEM OF THE SEAS, and WESTERDAM

You can't tell me there's sufficient controls in place to prevent this from continuing. There's folks in here with up coming cruises (including us) who are casting a wary eye on all this. I think the impact on the cruise industry and many other vendors who support it hasn't even gotten close to peaking. I don't expect any cruise line to admit fault, or even how many cancellations they've had. Or how many people who were GOING to book a cruise decided to wait. Obviously there's no way to even estimate that.

Scratching my head on that one too. Last week, RCL claimed to put the brakes on people coming from certain regions inside the incubation period. I received 3 messages stating that if I or any of my party have been to or through the region within 14 days of departure, we would not be able to board. That control may have missed the Anthem embarkation. But that's a BIG ship to quarantine. Like infecting a whole town.

NCL has a 30 day policy in place. People that have traveled to China within the last 30 days will not be allowed to board a ship. But what it does not address is if one of those people just shows up at the terminal and mingles with all the passengers before being turned away due to the policy. Not really sure how they can prevent things like that.

Anyone who has ever cruised anywhere knows the zoo at embarkation. most of the people there have no clue where they're going. and it doesn't matter which terminal you use. and, remember, most "old timers" in here know what they're doing, and its still a zoo. once you choose to step into the world, you can get anything.

ANTHEM has been cleared to move on.

Cleared yes but will not be leaving port till tomorrow.

Watch the cruise line stocks - RCL is down over 10% this past week.

Thats just temporary. this too shall pass..its just a buying opportunity for those who like to dabble in "the real game"..((kaff kaff))

I'm keeping a close eye on the Anthem ship. I'm going on the NCL Bliss this month and it's comparable in size to Anthem, and it leaves out of the same terminal (I think). If they were to quarantine Anthem, then there's a chance that our cruise would be cancelled.

I thought Bliss went out of the Manhattan terminal across the river. Anthem goes out of Cape Liberty Cruise terminal Bayonne NJ.
