Miami airport Carnival check in

I will be cruising out of Miami next month. I was wondering if it is easier, faster or better to check in at the Carnival counter at the Airport or at the port ? We are staying at a hotel near the airport for a couple days prior to the cruise. Would it be better to go back to the airport to check in or just go to port ? Can we check in at the airport a couple of days early for our cruise ?

I think that would depend on how many flights were arriving when you are and how many of those cruisers are using the airport transfers. It would vary from hour to hour and depend on the day of the week, whether it's a vacation time like spring break etc.

How long are the lines in the airport?

At the airport w3ould be the best.

We checked in at the airport last cruise. They had an issue communicating with the Sensation, but once that was cleared up they sped right along. We also purchased Carnival transfers. We got to port shortly before boarding started, and transfers were boarded right after FTTF. This worked out great for us. They took our luggage at the bus and directed us to a special line for those who

checked in at the airport. NO waiting to enter the terminal. We would do it again in a heartbeat.

I do think the staggered boarding has helped tremendously at POM. Our previous two cruises from there were not great experiences for boarding. They are strictly enforcing the boarding times.

Any suggestion for what is the easier quicker way onto the ship ?
