i also have been on the nordic empress in 2002. i agree a great ship. but now having a teen son the larger ships are great for him. have since been on ships like the allure if the seas and loved it especially for him. would give the icon of the seas a try.

Well ever since I did Oasis of the Sea, I can say to big ,people everywhere . Now look forward to the 4k and under ships. My 1st cruise back in the late 70's only held 1200 passengers miss Sitmar cruise line Fairsea and Fairsky...

Me too Hun.

It was my first cruise, back in 1993 as Nordic Empress and have completed several cruises on her since.

she is now operating for an Indian cruise brand.

Still look back with such fond memories.

Lynn is stunning

OGW, I was a huge fan of Empress of the Seas(Nordic Empress) and her 1800pax capacity Love

I somehow doubt we will see this ship. Largest we have done is Breakaway, Anthem and Joy ... all about 4 k passengers and those were all more than large enough. We actually like the smaller ships and look forward to the NCL direction where their new ships are 3200 passengers.

Interesting what is now becoming a "smaller ship"...seems to me we started on ships under 3k passengers...2500 or so...grew to closer to 4k, (which is big enough thankyou), but then covid happened..then 5k...and now....wow.....which probably explains our fascination with the PRIMA and her sisters...yeh, its over a year off for that one, but still.....trying to read reviews here n there....interesting exersize after all this time..

We will go on it, exactly once. My Brother and his wife want to go for their 10yr anniversary.

I am definitely a Smaller-ship guy. The passengers and crew always seem to be more pleasant.

I don't like this at all

You know how we wonder what keeps a plane in the air? That whole ….speed / lift / shape of the wings thing ?

Im starting to worry about those water displacement theories too. Yummy

It looks like RCL took Coco Cay and put it on an Oasis class ship.
