I'm back to haunt you! :)

Just letting you know that I am back to the neighborhood.

After my last problem laden cruise (absolutely NO problems with the ship (Regal Princess), just with Princess corporate, their flight section and American airlines), my real life became a bit complicated.

A major change of life with my forced retirement (age discrimination is legal within the US Government) and my wife being diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, I wasn't in the mood for posting.

All things work out in the end, though. My wife has been diagnosed as in remission, and I am getting used to not having to go to work (actually kind of niceWink), and am finally able to cruise again. In fact, I just booked a 7 day Western Caribbean cruise with NCL.

Looking forward to the myriad of interesting conversations and catching back up with everybody!

Welcome back.

Welcome back. Glad your wife is okay. Enjoy retirement, you’ve earned it

Welcome back Rebel. Glad to hear things are working out. Sorry to hear about your wife. My wife went through that journey 3 years ago with 2 different types of cancer at stage 3. I too had dropped out for a bit at that time. But 2 surgeries and much treatment later we are both enjoying our third cruise since all of that. Perspective and priorities change after something like that. I am glad to see you back and that things are looking brighter. Cheers mate.

Welcome back. When I retired and left on that last day, I might as well have unscrewed the rear view mirror. I never looked back, and yes, I have no idea how I had time or even the inclination to work. More importantly, its great to learn she's in remission. My wife went thru that journey. She's a 10 year survivor. We met some of the most incredibly spectacular supportive people along the way.
