I bought the drinks package ???

Caribbean Princess, Feb 2022. I was reading the fine print and I think it said drinks up to $12 were covered. Are most of the fun drink specials at this price? That's the great part of cruising, trying new beverages. I don't want to finish a Caribbean cruise and see a big charge for alcohol

There are approx 5 glasses of wine in a 26 oz 750ml bottle of wine.

How many glasses are in a bottle?

I only drink mine, one glass at a time. Wink

Princess drink packages include wine by the glass but not wine by the bottle.

Drink packages are great if there are a lot of sea days. You'd be surprised how much you can consume on a day at sea. I always get the drink package because it allows me to try things I normally wouldn't have and if I don't like it, I order something different.

Thank you! I was talking to a neighbor today who cruises (who knew?) and he said that on Princess it covered nearly everything they could think of -- specialty coffee drinks, bottled water, soda, beer/wine, and their mixed drinks. They didn't buy any of the "drink of the day" specials, and he didn't know if those would have been more expensive. And they didn't get any wine with their dinners. Not sure if that is part of the package or not. Doesn't matter to me, I'm not a wine guy.

I didn't even think about champagne. Those lead to mimosas for breakfast. Uh oh . . . .

Yes it absolutely does. So drink package is $100 per day and then there is the 20% gratuity on top of that. |If you take the drink package as a booking perk you still pay the $20 per person per day gratuity for the free pre paid package. You also get to pat the 20% gratuity for the dining package as well.

Does that include the 'mandatory' 'gratuity' on top of that? I've heard that NCL likes to add on the extra 'gift' for good measure. Wink

We have cruised Princess several times and always get the drink package. It gives you water, soda, juice, beer, champagne and cocktails. Even at dinner we have gotten a large bottle of water to take back to our room. The drinks are well made with top shelf liquor. The above $12 is for those who prefer a more expensive type of liquor. It is more than enough for the price.

Worried about the price of booze on a cruise??? hmmmmmmmmmm.....drink more you'll care less...........until the end...

Cannot speak for Princess as I have never cruised with them but read the fine print of the contract. I know with NCL theirs is 15 dollars and in the contract there is a link to all drinks that this would cover. Anything over 15 and you only pay the difference.
