Hi everyone! First time cruiser here!

Hi, I'm a first time cruiser and it seems kind of overwhelming trying to figure everything out! What cruise line, where to go, shore excursions, tips and advice, its just a lot! I'm excited about taking my first cruise sometime this year!

Being 31 and traveling solo, out of the 3 lines you picked I'd say if you can get a NCL ship with the studios, that may be the best, just for the single cabin and the social events for singles. If you are a foodie, then I suggest the Specialty dining package as the MDR is not so great IMHO, but with the dining package you could not take advantage of the singles dinners in the MDR (Cruise director staff organize tables for singles in the studios I have heard).

Celebrity is a premium line that gets a 40's to 70's clients, the ship is more elegant, better service, better MDR food (best MDR and buffet food I have had on any line) and more space per person so ship never feels over crowded.

Princess is a mid level line that caters to families and the 40's and up age range. I have heard that the food is good on princess as is the service.
