HELP! First cruise (carnival miracle) I have questions

So I am leaving in 2 weeks on the carnival miracle from Long Beach CA to Cabo with my husband and 16 year old son. We have never been on a cruise before.
1) how easy is it to get lost on the ship? I get lost easily.
2) there seems like a lot to do I feel like I’m going to miss out?

3) how long does check in take?

4) I’ve prepaid everything (wifi, drink package, shore excursions etc) what can I expect to pay for on the ship?

5) we had to select a dinner time but no breakfast and lunch time? Is dinner different?

6) is the dinner the buffet or ive heard the “main dining hall” is that like restaurant style??

7) is there a dress code for any part of the ship or time?
8) where do you set your room key/sail and sign card when you are in the pool, going on the water slide etc I don’t want anyone to take it and use my sail and sign.

im sure I will have more questions but these are the most of them.

Sending positive and healing vibes your way.

Happy love you too. Lol.
hard to sleep. My son is autistic and my husband is at work. I am trying to take of him from a safe distance. We don’t have any family or friends around here. (At least they are both negative)

Good grief! Turn off whatever device you're using and go to bed!

Don’t think it’s false positive (doctor doesn’t either). I thought my sinuses just wouldn’t clear last night and I appear to be going downhill fast today. Feels like a bad cold.
husband and son are both negative.
no surgery for a while.

OMG!!! So sorry to learn you got the bug..hope the rest of your family doesn't test positive. I'll bet you've got a bunch to report....and I'll also bet lots of folks in here have questions. I know I do.. I'm assuming you had to delay your surgery...So take your time to get yourself together. How you respond is up to you...You can do a full blown review...or put a few paragraphs together in here..or both...If you decide to do it in here (the Forum), I'd respectfully suggest you start a new thread. I'll bet the "discussion" will get interesting, with a bunch of responses.....IMHO long threads can get unwieldy....Good luck! Welcome back!

Just saw AUNTIES response..as usual, excellent point...hadn't even thought of the possibility of a false positive..

Glad you had fun! Sorry you tested positive. Hope your husband comes back negative. If that's the case, you may wish to be tested again as you MIGHT have had a false positive.

I haven’t forgot about you guys just…….a lot has gone on.
I got back Sunday (4/3) went back to work the next day. (I’m a teacher) Got Covid tested yesterday (Wednesday) because I was supposed to have knee surgery tomorrow and guess what?
I test positive for Covid.
I wore my mask the whole time except for eating, pictures and swimming. I still wear my mask all the time because I knew I had to test negative for my knee surgery. I am vaccinated and boosted as is my husband and son. They also wore their masks too. My son has tested negative and waiting on my husband to test. (We of course had to all test negative before getting on the boat so chances are we got it on the cruise and yes I’ve notified carnival)
so. It’s a lot right now and I want to have a chance to collect everything to give a good review. (We had fun though)

EXCELLENT! Thanks for checking in!!! Get yourself and your family home safe...And tell us all about it! You could do a full blown review in the review section, or, a couple paragraphs in here...If you do, you can start a new thread. Long threads tend to go sideways!

Looking forward to hearing (reading) all about it!

Hi everyone! I am on the last day of my cruise. Home tomorrow. I just wanted to say I didn’t forget about you guys and I will let you guys know how it went once I get settled back at home. (Or if I have time later tonight as it is cold and cloudy out today)
