Just here to say welcome to your newest addiction. Big Smile

Join the VIFP club through Carnival, you'll get special perks and discounts. This cruise will count, so be sure to get the reservation number from him as this is needed to sign you up.

Also, look up John Heald on Facebook, he is a wealth of information for all things Carnival...he is the Brand Ambassador and is very responsive to user questions.

Just Read everything they give to you and ask question. Yes Ask Questions and you might learn more about what you missed or need to learn before you mess up something important. Nobody knows everything, I have over 30 cruises and I still learn new stuff...as the cruise lines change rules all the time per ship. If your traveling with someone who has been on that ship you will have a guide to help you navigate all the surroundings. Once you get your first one completed you will have increased your Cruising Knowledge by over 50%. Relax and Enjoy the time at Sea and be prepared for mass caous on Day 1 and the last Day. These two days never surprise me. Crusie for less and cruise more often. See you at Sea!! Cruisin Carl

Enjoy your first cruise!!!

Have and fun and Enjoy every bits of it!

Back in 2012, this was part of how my wife got me to agree to go on a cruise. "oh, they have trap shooting off the back/side of the ship"

This was a lie, of course, as that particular "Ship had sailed" probably 30 years prior. Surprised (see what I did there?)

The momentary confused screw face that I got from the activities staff when I inquired was well worth it though.

My wife is paying the price for her indiscretion now, as I just tell her when she needs to schedule her vacation time, and go over the packing list. Big Smile

Don’t forget to ask about joining the Balcony Club. The main desk should be able to help with any paperwork you need to fill out. There is no fee to join. You don’t need a balcony cabin, but it helps if you do. Love

The regulars here have given you some good tips that you'll use throughout your cruising lifetime. I'd like to add one specifically for this cruise. You are going on what I feel is one of the most beautiful of Carnival ships of the older fleet. Please explore all the public spaces and take in the wonderful artwork.

We certainly had fun over there on Funville. Too bad it didn’t last. Thanks again for suggesting that I join Cruiseline. It’s been a good place to learn about more opportunities.

I guess maybe I should clarify my post.

years ago, on, I think it was Funville, some first time poster innocently asked if it would be okay to bring, and use, in her cabin, a rice cooker. Well, ya know the phrase, “dog pile on the rabbit “? This was one big dog pile. Not one serious answer. This person was a OTP (one time poster ), never to be heard from again. We just kept posting snarky replies.
As far as fishing off the aft deck, people ask that all the time. Hell, we used to fire a shotgun off the deck. Supervised of course.
