First time cruisers

hello everyone, my beautiful wife and I will be taking our very first 5 day cruise on the Carnival Imagination at the beginning of December from Los Angeles to Mexico. We are looking forward to it. After reading so many exciting comments, I can truely say this might be the beginning of an unstoppable addiction. We are both from New Zealand and love to travel. Happy

I just read that you wrote this over two years ago. I hope it was amazing. The following is for any first time cruisers!!!

Welcome to Cruising!!! You are going to love it.

Keep in mind that the way you feel about cruising depends on what you put into it. If you focus on the amazing things about cruising you are going to love it. (excursions, entertainment, spending time with loved ones, etc) If you focus on the not so amazing things then you are going to hate it (small cabins, Free Days at Sea, rude people (Sometimes), etc).

I love cruising. Research your ship so you know what to expect. I'm going on the Pride of America through Hawaii and I know that the ship is not the best, but I look forward to visiting the ports. Therefore, I cannot be upset about anything!!!!

Welcome aboard Paul. Cruising is such an awesome thing. As on land also on sea in that every season has its beauties and advantages for cruising. My advise .. try them all as often as you can.

Cheers,

Hi Paul, sounds like you're hooked on cruising for sure! We've cruised the Caribbean in December a few times and always had smooth seas and nice weather. Happy cruising!

I'm right there with you, hope you and your wife have a terrific cruise!!!

Welcome, i took my first cruise in May, simply because i wanted to visit Cuba, OMG I am well and truly hooked. it wasn't supposed to be like this, i was going to go cruising once, say i'd done it and that would be that! It was amazing, get up, shower, get dressed and have fun. Met a lot of neat people from all over the World and strangely enough more than one Family from right here in Georgia only 10 miles from us, small world.

I am already looking at my next cruise, trying to get one in during December this year, Caribbean again, sadly not Cuba, maybe Panama.

Question for all you more seasoned addicts what's the Caribbean, Panama like in December? Sailing weather, Island weather etc.

Paul

Hello! What is YOLO?

Welcome to the addiction.....Happy

So apparently I am late to the party, but welcome! I am NOT a newbie by any stretch of the word: I have been cruising since I was 5 years old and just finished my 18th cruise! My 19th will be on the Norwegian Encore, which is a brand new ship that will be launched in November.

Put it this way, soon, you will be able to say you own your first Platinum card...but you can only use your status when on cruises! Big Smile
