Final Payment date, and FCC

So, just a heads up to anyone who is like me, and waits until just before the final Payment date, to ensure the best deal:

The RCI FCC is taking anywhere from 48-168 hours(2-7 days) to process at this time. So, call 8 days or so before the final payment date to apply the FCC to your final Balance!

My final date was 8/31/2020, and I called today. My Online TA was able to extend my final payment date to 9/9/2020 just to ensure the FCC went through.

The CDC update was very telling. Not as bullish that its going to influence perceptions enough to get things sailing again.

Agreed. However, the only people definitely positively responsible for covering MY butt is me (and her), and vice versa. Unlike some, who in the beginning thought this was some kind of a hoax or overblown, well...its proven to be anything but...however, whose numbers you want to believe, or their significance...thats another story...

With the CDC's recent adjustment in the numbers, I have a feeling there will not be another extension of the ban. there's a whole lot of butt-covering that's going to be happening in the next few weeks.

Same for us. Wife thinks announcement on 1 Sept for cancellations through Nov. I think they'll just yank the rest of 2020.

We're still scheduled to go end of NOV, but its unlikely we're going...just waiting to time the cancellation...they will or we will, depending...and reinstate those credits...

Good advise, thanks Opus. I am sure that having reduced staffs because no one is actually sailing at RCL at the moment and most of the staff has been reduced contributes to this greatly.

Same here.

I too, use a TA (local, not online) and she is excellent at pushing those dates out as far as she can, for us. So far, we have not had an issue with the FCC arriving close to the final payment date.
