Extreme Chair Hogging...

Good Afternoon Everyone!

Dwelling deep into the Royal Caribbean Facebook groups today, I came across this example of "Chair Hogging" that takes things to a new Level! This is on this week's Sailing of Allure of the Seas

Yes, that indeed is a large cable lock!

An update from the original poster stated that Security was notified, the incident documented, and the cable cut.

However, the offending chair hogger was mad about it!

I have so many questions about this...#1 Who in their right mind would think this was OK? and #2...How did they get that onboard??

Has anyone else seen something like this that could be considered "Extreme Chair Hogging"?

people watching is a grand sport...

It can be at times. But it can also be depressing and very frustrating when one witnesses such classless, boorish behavior. I find it very difficult to comprehend such actions, and it pushes against my belief in the overall goodness and fairness of people. I'm not saying it causes me to lose faith, just that it buffs up and polishes my jaded & cynical side for a while.

Entitled? Hardly. In my world someone caught doing something like that is only entitled to being put off the ship at the next port. Although it goes against the old "keep the customer happy" adage, I think a couple of actions along those lines would send a strong message, and would educate the entitled "chosen ones" as to how that kind of behavior is unacceptable in a polite society. I have to go lie down now, for my righteous indignation always raises my blood pressure. Don't worry though, rest assured it will pass.

Can I give you an extra thumbs up for that? Been on enough ships to know where to go to enjoy the day without any of that..despite the crowds, there are such places. for us the fewer the better, even on the behemoths. They got it onboard because it just wasn't on the banned list, and probably wasn't xrayed anyway, you really think 100% of the thousands of pieces of luggage are scanned "properly"?

yeh, folks think they're "entitled"...until they run into someone who thinks they're "entitled" more...then the fun starts. when we're not actually "doing something", people watching is a grand sport...

Unfortunately we live in an entitled society where too many people feel entitled to whatever they want ... regardless
