Extreme Chair Hogging...

Good Afternoon Everyone!

Dwelling deep into the Royal Caribbean Facebook groups today, I came across this example of "Chair Hogging" that takes things to a new Level! This is on this week's Sailing of Allure of the Seas

Yes, that indeed is a large cable lock!

An update from the original poster stated that Security was notified, the incident documented, and the cable cut.

However, the offending chair hogger was mad about it!

I have so many questions about this...#1 Who in their right mind would think this was OK? and #2...How did they get that onboard??

Has anyone else seen something like this that could be considered "Extreme Chair Hogging"?

I'm positive, old friend, that she's a troll, holier-than-thou, and bigoted to boot. Did I mention fraud????

Enough already ... this is NOT being beautiful.

Try to keep it positive.

Agreed, so much morpheusofthe Happy

Thanks so much for the lovely reply to my post, and I am delighted to see that others agree with me, that wearing flip flops is not acceptable.

Lynn is beautiful

It does get tiresome when our resident troll insists on belittling people it doesn't know for traits or habits that it personally doesn't approve of...and then compounds it by insulting their parents or upbringing, which it knows nothing about either...If insults are your stock in trade, its no wonder your posts disappear almost as soon as you make them...eventually, you'll disappear as as well...one can only hope....

Flip flops are a staple footwear in the USA. I realize that they are less popular in the UK. Those are really going to be a personal dislike for you rather than a rude thing in general.

"But it's the Caribbean".. Those living south of our border take great offense of our north American attitude toward these nation states. I was confronted years ago with the statement that the people that live there do not live in the trees and dress in loin cloth. They too, have self respect and respect for others and dress when they venture out for dinner.

A cruise is not a camping trip. Dressing for dinner is a case of self-respect and respect for others. Not dressing up is just the 'way' other countries wish to view the Americans as classless bumpkins.

Personally we do not mind one way or the other. We find great service and appreciation from staff because we do dress for meals. We love the attention we get. It is so much easier not having any competition.

Yes, as mentioned in my earlier post, Flip Flops are a statement to the world for whatever reason.

A sad reflection however, of the type of person that wears them.

Lynn is really beautiful

OK...where is the post that mentions "flip-flops"? I happen to agree with you 1000%..I wear em all the time onboard (except dinner).....and...if i had to guess...I'd say it was our resident "beeeyooootifool".............

Umm, I am sorry but, flip flops are a comfortable personal choice and have nothing at all to do with cruise etiquette. Not recommended for the diner table but around the ship they are perfectly acceptable.

Cheers,

The very topic of cruise etiquette, is really down to the person.

Some are rude, some are chair hogs and some wear flip flops.

All are against the very basics of human manners and decency.

Lynn is beautiful.
