I started a new position in Feb, and one of my co-workers also came to the construction side of commercial real estate... He came shortly after I did. He is freaking out that I am going to be gone and won't be able to be reached. I am kind of the one who keeps these guys in line. I am certain that he will be fine, but he isn't so certain.. DO I really care?

You had alot more nerve than I did...you advertised it....in my world folks who did that were just ASKING for trouble heheheh

LOL .. I used to start at 99 days out and maintained a countdown on my whiteboard so everyone in my vicinity knew as the number got smaller so did my attention span for anything not cruise related.

You're preaching to the choir my friend... you didn't invent the wheel on that one...back in the day, I made myself scarce starting a week+ b4 any vacay, let alone a cruise..and yes, that included weekends, especially 3 day affairs...I'd start "disappearing" on Thursdays sometimes...now, with covid, since I'm retired anyways and live out in the weeds, I can be alot friendlier and less paranoid..not that there's many people out here to avoid......

7 days... 7 long day dream-filled days!! I hope my boss realizes I will not be worth a toot this week LOL
