Do you think of Bermuda & the Bahamas as "Caribbean"?

I think of Bermuda and the Bahamas as more "Floridian" islands because technically speaking they are in the Atlantic Ocean. I've sailed to them from Florida on private boats in the past as well as on cruise ships but I never considered them as the "Caribbean".

I'm surprised sometimes when I see cruises to those spots being billed as a Caribbean Vacation. Not that they aren't great islands to visit BUT they aren't really the Caribbean ...

LOL it always reminds me of when I would fly into the Greater Cincinnati Airport which is actually located in Erlanger, Kentucky and people would be like "where the heck are we"

Maybe it's easier to sell it as a Caribbean vacation and leave it to the consumer to correct the semantics. They sell Caribbean cruises as exotic getaways. Exotic ? St. Thomas? Not anymore. Trampled over maybe, but exotic ?

I know that's why it surprise me to see an ad that says Caribbean Vacation !!!!

Really ? Floridian ? Bermuda is off the coast of Carolina.
