Do you think of Bermuda & the Bahamas as "Caribbean"?

I think of Bermuda and the Bahamas as more "Floridian" islands because technically speaking they are in the Atlantic Ocean. I've sailed to them from Florida on private boats in the past as well as on cruise ships but I never considered them as the "Caribbean".

I'm surprised sometimes when I see cruises to those spots being billed as a Caribbean Vacation.  Not that they aren't great islands to visit BUT they aren't really the Caribbean ...

Maybe it's easier to sell it as a Caribbean vacation and leave it to the consumer to correct the semantics.   They sell Caribbean  cruises as exotic getaways.   Exotic ?  St. Thomas?  Not anymore.  Trampled over maybe, but exotic ?

LOL it always reminds me of when I would fly into the Greater Cincinnati Airport which is actually located in Erlanger, Kentucky and people would be like "where the heck are we"

No... I don't think of them as Caribbean. I'm not sure what I consider them :/

Bahamas - yes

Bermuda - no

I consider neither to be Caribbean and if you look at most cruise sites or cruise booking sites they do list them separate from the Caribbean. The Bahamas are just a group of high sand bars that stick out of the water with literally no high points where as most Caribbean islands at least have a number of higher peaks offering some beautiful views. I think the Cayman Islands is one of the few exceptions to that. Bermuda is all on its own, sort of like the Atlantic version of Hawaii but on a much more toned down scale.

Culture-wise they're Caribbean, but not geographically.
