decks

A group of 8 woman are going on the Regal in late January. We have been offered either deck 15 the Marina or deck 11 the Baja. Both are balcony deluxe rooms. Any suggestions as most of us are new the cruising. Thanks for your input.

I agree Yankee, I miss discussing stuff like this. It has been quite a while.

What a pleasure this thread is....its......normal!!! Love to be discussing deck plans, itineraries, tours, food, yada yada.....remember all THAT stuff???

Deck 11! I would not go forward though. We had a premium suite on Regal. It literally the very first cabin all the way forward on deck 10, starboard side. We felt lots of movement during choppy seas and it was very unpleasant. Plus, we were quite far from lots of things. We were fine with this as we walked off all the yummy food we ate! I always recommend midship if at all possible. It helps if you're sensitive to movement. Regal is one of our favorite Princess ships. Enjoy your cruise!!

Yup, I would go with the Deck 11 as well.

We have been on Deck 11 (Baja) and found it a great location for going up to the weather decks or down to the dining, shopping, activities, etc. decks. Plus the advantage of decks above and below.

Looking at the Regal's deck plans, I'd personally book only a forward cabin on the Marina deck (M301 or lower), beneath the cabins on the Lido deck. If you book mid-ship or aft, you'll be below the food courts and terrace. It may get noisy with all that foot traffic above you at night or early morning.

Anywhere would work fine for me on Baja. There are only cabins above and below.
