Dangerous Waters $$$ Pvt Island

Not many go to Bimini in the Caribbean. Don't book to go there you maybe disappointed.

Nothing to do. No shopping.

You get to enjoy this Pvt Beach by tram from the ship for Free.

Food & Drinks are expensive.

Okay you want to go anyway.

Now you're setup on not so white soft sandy Beach and you're ready to go into the Caribbean Ocean.

NO ONE ADVISED YOU OF THE DANGEROUS JELLY FISH SWIMMING AROUND YOU.

I've been to some dangerous Islands to swim. Hawaii, Canary Islands etc.

All have Nets protecting Swimmers.

You're always advised prior to entering the water by Flags, by briefings.

NOT @ Bimini.

AFTER YOU'RE BIT THEY TELL YOU.

I'LL never book to go to Bimini ever again.

But if you want to go Deep Sea Fishing

Go To Bimini. The fish are jumping.

Why don't they advise the Passengers of the Jelkyfish ?

Well you heard it from me.

What do you think about Bimini?

You have to make the best of it and turn it into a game. you need a bunch of flat stones, called skippies. You the whip ( ) these stones at an angle at the jellyfish. See where this is going ?

When you hit the jellyfish with the skippy, you have scored a pb&jf, worth 100 pts. High score wins when you run out of stones. Happy

Only cruise we've been on that included Bimini it was canceled and "replaced" with a sea day, so I have not been.

It is not a destination port for me, so I would not actively seek out a cruise because it is on the itinerary.

I would; however, much prefer an actual port as a replacement for any canceled port rather than another sea day. Especially in that area where there are so many options.

Thank you.

I will discuss my Service Dog on @ another discussion.

Love to hear more about your service dog. I think thats magnificent! how do you manage onboard?

PatongDave you said it Perfectly.

Stay aboard the ship.

But I believe the Jellyfish should be exposed to the people before they pay good money for bad Beach Water.

Thanks for letting me know the owner of the Hotel. The owner of the Bimini Islands is the Government of the Bahamas. They issue me my license for my Service Dog to enter for the day.

We've been to Bimini twice. Disappointed the first time, and stayed on the ship the second time.

The cruise pier at Bimini is privately owned by Resorts World International, as is the entire surrounding area. One saving grace is that there is a free tram that runs a route between the cruise port and several Resorts World beaches, as well as one public beach. The Resorts World beaches all require an admission fee, with some including a drink and limited food. The public beach at the far end of the tram loop, has free admission but the on-site rental rate for beach loungers was the same as the outrageously high onboard tour cost for a chair and snorkel gear when we were there.

An alternative to being captive to Resorts World is to rent a golf cart and explore the other parts of the island. When we were there, the tram stopped at the Resorts World casino, where there were multiple companies renting golf carts.
