We're leaving on our cruise in 3 days and aren't taking a formal excursion in Puerto Plata. We're just planning to walk around and get something to eat. What suggestions do you have for great food not far from the port? Thanks.

Not sure I would want to wander too far in this port. This is a fairly new port in a very poor island with not the best reputation. If you wander stay safe.
