I cruise a lot but never in December. I would like to know how is the weather both on the water and in the Bahamas during that time? And what type of clothing should I pack?

No one can predict the weather reliably but, in our experience, a Bahamas cruise in December should be warm, calm and clear. Happy cruising!
We've cruised the Caribbean in December for the last few years. It's great!! Pack as you would for any caribbean cruise. Overall, the water is just a tad cooler than in the summer but still warm enough that you will get used to it. About 4 years ago we were in Half Moon Cay in December and the water was too cold for my liking. I had to get out after a few minutes...I just wasn't warming up.

December is a nice time to cruise to the Bahamas. It will be less hot but still pleasant. Bring a sweater or light jacket for the A/C or cooler nights.

We have done the Bahamas cruise in Dec. I over packed. lol, I did not check the weather. I was pleased to find out that it was 70 to 78 while we were there. I had to wash a load of clothes to have enough to finish the cruise. So please check the weather on google. And enjoy your cruise ship, it will be decorated for Christmas!!
