I no longer care about this entire subject...."current events" have completely overshadowed it. BUT, reading this thread again, after almost a year, sure brings back memories. We're just glad to be cruising again...

If I remember correctly, JAX boarded the suite buyers after those needing assistance followed by the platinum and diamond. It's only my opinion but, Diamond and Platinum should be first to board after the those needing assistance.

Same with us! My hubby is very high strung and can't seem to sit still long.. he would be bored out of his mind if we got on the ship super early. I'd rather wait, get on with no fuss or tripping over people, and head to our room because it will be ready by then. I don't feel like I am missing out on anything getting on later.

THANKS FOR THAT!!! (I think...)...course, if I lived within spitting distance of the terminal, and had someone to drive me.. I wouldn't care about it either...GRRRRRRRRR!!!! j/k

Before the pandemic CCL says platinum, suites, and fttf people board first and cabins are ready. Wrong!!(dont know about diamond) Our cabin was never ready, had to wait till 1 p m. We were first to board, first to get off, first to tender, but that is about it as far as the benefits go. So we delay boarding. We live approximately 30 miles from the pier, neighbor drops us off and picks us up, we do same for him, watch each others pets, etc. Latest time we leave from home to pier is about 45 minutes, we allow time for wrecks, etc. as some drivers have no brains. When we do park, we use Lighthouse parking. They are pretty good in getting you there. Last van leaves at 2 p m as last boarding on most cruises is 3 p m. Dont know about skywalk

Well, you're probably right. We've used it a few times, until we get to Platinum like on NCL. It does have its advantages...You're cabin is guaranteed ready ASA you step onboard, and your luggage is in it. You get priority tender boarding, and disembarking involved a separate waiting area if you wanted to get off first. They had different luggage tags for it, and it was treated as a "tour", and thats where you found it on the CCL website. On the other hand, you had to "keep checking" the website, and I mean daily, because they never knew exactly when it would become available or how many would be available when they opened FTTF up. Of course, in YOUR case, you could probably walk to the ship from home! (I'm still willing to rent a spare bedroom from y'all!!) Just curious, whats the latest you ever left home for the pier? Where d'you park? we've got reserved spots in the "building" across from the terminal for the next two...don't think there's anything any closer. Im told the skywalk is closed for repair?

I don't know why people are upset cause faster the fun is cancelled. We have the priority boarding perk, lost that also, but this is a restart of cruising. I wonder why people pay to get on board the ship first. We always board the last time as we dont like tripping over people and their luggage. Priority is the same as general boarding cannot go to cabin until a set time, cannot get a seat on lido as luggage everywhere. So we just take our time, I guess we are weird, been on the same 3 ships out of Galveston many times, so it doesnt matter if we are last to board, we know the routine.

The first group that gets to board is those in suites. Everyone else gets on according to your number on your boarding pass (i.e. B4). No FTTF or perks for Platinum and Diamond card holders.

No, but if I had to guess, I'd say no. We got a 10AM boarding time with the first group anyway. There was an advantage disembarking, but given what folks report, it really doesn't matter.

Do you know if Faster to the Fun will be available in 2022? I searched the Carnival website and couldn't find anything...
