Carnival's mysterious s1 cabin on the Fantasy Class ships

Guess you learn something new everyday... Apprently Carnival has s1 owner's suites on the Fantasy class ships- here's the catch, you have to 'fill out a questionaire' about yourself for them to even give you or your customer pricing! Then they tell you if you qualify to book the cabin....The funny thing is, they don't show up on deck plans. Here's an example on a website, look at the cabin lay out and all you see is a gray area Sensation The cabins look really cool from what I've seen ..... here's a youtube tour Anyone get lucky enought to get one of these free upgrades?

OMG! No need for me to be jealous because I'm sure it so far out of my price range. WOW.....that is nice. Thanks for sharing.
@texassea, you cruise a lot... apprently carnival will call people who a past guests and sometimes offer the upgrade. I'll cross my fingers and hope you get one!!!
I guess we are still kind of new to game. We just started cruising in 2009 and try to set sail once a year. Twice we have been blessed with upgrades but nothing like this. Good Luck!

We just upgraded for our upcoming august cruise. I cannot wait. We were booked in a suite since there are 5 of us. They emailed and asked if we were interested in upgrading and we did. I cannot wait. This suite is 300 Sq. ft. smaller than our first HOUSE!!! I love to have a little space... and that view of the ocean and ship. OMG OMG OMG.. I am freaking out. LOL

Outstanding, have a great cruise!

Thanks!!! We are excited. We adopted three children from foster care two years ago and this will be their first cruise. They are 17, 8 and 6. They don't know we upgraded!!! SURPRISE!!!

No, I have never been upgraded to these rooms. I also didn't know that a Website would pay money for stateroom photos. Thanks for the information. Learn something new every day.

I got the call. For a cruise I am going on in April 2017. I am a previous cruisers of carnival and so is my mom. We had booked 2 grand suites on 9th floor. I believe they are considered balcony rooms. Here is what I believe happened. I was requesting a handicapped room for my mother. They had none available, atleast not balcony. So our carnival rep on the phone who booked us, because I booked on phone not online, you dont save any money doing it yourself on line, so I call and book its easier. I believe he called and asked someone about it, ir put our name in. But it was 4 weeks after our booking, and 4 weeks before we leave on our trip when the call came in. We were paying $ 3,000 per room with 4 people in it each. We were offered the owners suite also called penthouse 1 and penthouse 2 for 1500.00 more per room. 3,000 total for both suites. I jumped at it, you only live once. The man who called me said if you know soneone to even get the rooms, they normally go for 8,000 each for 4 nights, that is how many nights we were going, my mom is 83. That's how it worked for us. This is one ancient post - revived through the miracles of the internet. Still - interesting.
