CARNIVAL CHANGED THE TESTING RULES...AGAIN...

Hard to understand exactly, but it appears their grand plan to have on site testing isn't happening...they refer you elsewhere...suggest you guys read it on their website....btw...I called a couple of CVS's in the Galveston area...don't have the 15 min rapid test, don't offer it....etc etc...that cruise after thanksgiving? good luck!!!!

Not at all surprising. This is going to be frustrating for those that like to plan to the nth degree early as everything is in flux and subject to change right up to and after boarding. All you can do is cover all bases and hope for the best.

For years you've been the voice of sanity, reason, and patience...................grrrrrrrrrrr!!! LOL

COASTERKING!!!! got the usual email notification of your post, with the first several lines...but its NOT HERE! Needless to say, its one that I REALLY wanted to read. Please repost it! BTW, I "may" have the problem solved...another epic, except this time I'll restrain myself....I don't have many kind words for CCL or CVS et al at this point....

As I alluded to in another thread, I think they may be backing away from on-site testing because of potential liability issues that would occur if they tied themselves that closely to the testing procedure. I'm sure their lawyers are trying to untangle that hairball.

You still have 76 days Yank. It may change again to something easier & more favorable.

Well AB...I think I've solved the problem...one locally, depending on whether or not they're open the day after TDAY, and they think they are...and one down in the port area which was extremely helpful. The whole process took me another 2 hrs off n on, its a good thing I don't pay for LD...and i'm not naming any names....call me a pissant if you like but explaining the who and where in cyber is ....well....counterproductive...sort of like shooting myself in the foot...now depending on what happens by 11/22 ish, that will determine where I spend TDAY...at home, like a human, or in a motel in Galveston, probably eating barbque, because I've made separate reservations for 11/25 AND 11/26. I sure wish COASTERKING would repost his...he's in the area.....

I just wish they would stick to ONE testing requirement!

You have noooo idea how close we came yesterday to cancelling this cruise................and I don't think I'm alone either.....

We're reaching a point of "changing" rule fatigue. People may put up with it for these first cruises, but if this continues, I think we'll see bookings will start dropping off until less intrusive conditions exist. Vaccinations, masks, tests (with more compressed schedules), harder to get your kids on-board because they need a different test... ) When is it too much work to go on a vacation?

Well said...its already too much work...and i don't mean just a bit of organizational inconvenience either...OGW kind of put me in the category of having to have everything organized to the nth degree...ok, I admit it...I can't do these "big ticket" things without crossing t's and dotting i's...cant bring myself to commit to thousands of $$'s, and long road trips and so on, without it. Wish I could...and then you get to the point where you want to board the plane or get in the car wondering if you can actually cruise when you get there and can't...because of that que sera sera attitude...after all the work and research and phone calls and key pounding I've done (and resented the doing of it) I'm glad I did....

With uncertainty comes more uncertainty. To travel now is quite the adventure. Good luck to all who put in the valiant effort to do so.
