Noooooooo

My guess is they're waiting for more people worldwide to get the vaccines. Cruise lines can't afford being the cause of another outbreak.

I had heard that Princess was moving ships to L.A. in 2021 and 2022 for 2 week round trip to Alaska and Hawaii, a quick stop in Mexico would be very doable.

Very doubtful.

Good idea, but If that happened, would Canada mover any quicker to soften stance?

To properly do an Alaskan cruise these days that ships would need to start in LA, do a quick south of the border stop in a Mexican port and then on to Alaska. Then either debark everyone and load new passengers for the return trip stopping in Mexico before heading to LA or make a longer 14 or 21 day round trip. One of the cruise lines should pick up on this option.

The Jones Act will not allow a cruise to nowhere. A foreign flagged ship can not start and end a cruise in US ports without stopping at a foreign port. That is why Alaska cruises stop in Vancouver and why CA coastal cruises stop in Ensanada Mexico.

The only ship that is flagged in the USA is NCL Pride of America that cruises the Hawaii islands.

I absolutely agree!

I hate when the Captain announces we all have to go home.

I wonder with ports not wanting tourists if cruise lines would do a cruise to nowhere and if people would be up for that?.
