Booking the Chef's Table on Carnival Pride

First time sailing with Carnival. We'll be sailing on the Carnival Pride starting on June 23, 2024, so just about a year away.

How does one book the Chef's Table on Carnival? The "Specialty Dining" tab on Carnival's Cruise Manager says "Sold Out" for my cruise, but Carnival's description of the Chef's Table (https://www.carnival.com/cruise-food/chefs-table) says "Reservations can be made at the ship’s Guest Services desk."

What's the bottom line here?

Thanks.

No more cherries jubilee is our place Lynn

I have never done the Chef's kitchen on any line. I did however get to tour one of the smaller kitchens on the Royal Princess on my cruise. I had purchased a cook book and had a few questions about what to substitute for some menu items to cater to dietary needs of family members.

Turns out some of the Sous chefs and line cooks love to talk. I have five pages of notes in the book.

As a final note.....The roast Lamb I did last Christmas for a family dinner of fourteen. turned out perfect, thanks to a few tips.

I would suggest you always ask, you never know who will say yes.

We've enjoyed the Chef's Table a few times on Carnival, but haven't gone the last few years. A good friend went recently and said it was very good and is a new menu. I suggest you check once on board. While it truly might be sold out, I have seen them do a second one if there is enough interest. I'm interested in how it turnsout. Please come back and let me know.

I booked Chef's Table once on-board, if I remember correctly. Unfortunately, due to lack of interest, it was cancelled. I was a little bummed, but having read the other response, it may have been for the best. I've only done Carnival twice, but I was impressed with the food. The "brunch" which they only do once per cruise, was well worth it. I didn't do any specialty dining because both cruises were short. There are plenty of options and Carnival does a lot of "upsell" on the restaurants around the ship. Have a great time!

Hate to see this unanswered...know the feeling when you're "left hanging"...when you can't seem to get home from third..did the chefs table long ago on another ship, wasn't worth it, vaguely remember several items that I WOULD have brought home to the dog we had at the time...he'd eat anything...but thats neither here nor there. Unlike NCL for example, you can "allegedly" make dining reservations ANYTIME, as early prior to the cruise as you like, mainly because you're going to PAY for them then, (and you can forget using the OBC)...all cruiselines don't have that policy....I say "allegedly" because CCL's website is notoriously glitchy and/or inaccurate (seems like whenever I'm on it),,,strongly suggest you call and , hopefully, get someone in a reasonably good mood with a brain...I know that can be asking alot..including an interminable wait on the phone, (although to be fair some folks get right thru..if its early enough)...failing that, if you really can book it at Guest Services, and it means that much to you, get on as early as you possibly can, get thee to Guest Serviuces, (don't be surprised at the line, even then) and hope for the best..at that point, you have nothing to lose except 15-20min.... GOOD LUCK!!!
