I'm looking to bid on the haven courtyard on my upcoming trip but all the rooms are in the front. I've heard the front is not good for getting sea sick. If it's so bad why do they put the expensive rooms up front? I have a midship balcony right now. Should I just keep what I have? Thank you

Cruise ships are subjective to Weather and pre existing conditions like ship design/hull. If you have a lake cruise path every room will be a smooth ride. Your going to have to look at weather patterns and the path your cruise is going on...then add the current weather expected to make the most informative decision. It gets complicated but I can say that if your sailing on a Whooper Ship your sitting so low in the ocean your going to experience a smoother ride. Wind always causes plenty of closed off areas, so I hope the ship you choose has plenty of indoor areas to spread out. Get a ship with a covered Atrium if available and you can relax a bit more.
We have had forward-facing rooms on the RCI Oasis Class for 4 different cruises. Never a problem with getting seasick.
Although, on Empress of the Seas(RIP), the Windjammer was forward facing, and the previous night's over consumption of Jager Bombs took its toll on me, and I was extraordinarily seasick.
I think a forward Haven cabin would be ok. I've sailed on the NCL Gem out of NYC 6 or 7 times, always in forward cabins (forward of forward elevators). You do get a bit of up and down motion, particularly on heavy sea days, but we never found it to be a problem, although it might be for some. We bid on a penthouse upgrade once on a December cruise to the Caribbean out of NYC and won a forward facing penthouse. It was a great cabin but the balcony wasn't really usable when the ship was underway; too much wind. In port, it was great. But, I don't think I would book that location again. I would have no issues with a forward Haven cabin if the price was right.
