Best Gift Ever!

My husband has refused to cruise the past year in any of my dozen cruises. I asked him the other day if he thought all this cruising was affecting my skin. He said, well your face looks like dried up river beds .................

So after apologizing for days and trying to dig out of the dog house, he asks what can I do to make up for my sarcastic comment? I said - go on a cruise with me.

So guess what - hubby and I are finally cruising together on Star Princess 15 days to Hawaii Jan 23rd!!!

Keep those insults coming honey ... I got my dream come true wish!

PS Now have to change the Panama Canal cruise with my son to one week early.

A nasty comment is when someone says something mean out of the blue ... this was playful banter between two people who love and respect each other very much. He's going on the cruise because he knows I have wanted him to for a long time but have respected his wishes not to go. And he is actually looking forward to it ....

Agree.

Hopefully, your husband will have such a great cruise that he will be willing to go on more cruises. He should not be making nasty comments to you, call him on them. You should not have to hear such comments for him to go on a cruise with you.

Have fun together.

Uh, that's the same as being honest.

If you ask a question that you deep down know the answer to (e.g. I've basically been frying the hell out of my skin and know it looks like leather), be prepared for an honest answer. Yes it looks like dried up river beds. If he said, no dear, it's as smooth as a baby's butt - I would have been ticked at his sarcasm lol. Men - just plead the fifth ...

We men are in a horrific position when the dreaded question comes our way, because there is no honest way for us to respond.

"You could have lied to me and say yes."

"Right! I lied to you last night and you got pissed at me!"

If I ask a "loaded" question, I really do want an honest reply from my hubby, and I get one, without the reply being sarcastic/hurtful. i dealt with that type of answer for too many years.......

"You never tell me I look good."

"And your point is?" Is the only answer.

I've learned (the hard way) to dodge the loaded question.

No matter what I answer, it is wrong.

Honey - does this outfit make me look fat?

The choices are Yes, which will upset her, or No, which leads to "So you think I look fat anyway?"Sad

The stock answer is always "Honey, you look beautiful no matter what you are wearing"Happy

When you ask someone a "loaded" question, you gotta be ready for the answer Wink. Honey, how do I look? Not too bad for someone your age ....
