Bargain of the Day

Don't forget to check your credit card/ organization reward programs for cruise savings!!

I just scored $600 in Carnival gift cards for $450.00 for our upcoming family cruise Big Smile

That will fund all three S&S accounts.

I got a $100 gift card free with Southwest Airline reward points, then I got 5 $100

gift cards for $450 through AARP Rewards For Good.

You don't have to belong to AARP to get the cards. You can register on the website and then take a few quizzes to earn points to apply toward the discounted merchandise. You will also receive occasional emails with a code to enter for bonus points. It doesn't take much time or effort to get enough points for the discount.

The money I saved will pay for transfers back to airport for all of us.

Thanks for the post Grandmajo. I use them to buy DH some time in the casino while I veg out on the balcony Big Smile. I didn't think to check the stash until I posted the response and only had a couple left. Ordered a few and they arrived today.

I think I joined at age 50.

At any rate, the hotel discounts and Denny's discounts have paid for the membership.

Now I just need to cash in the thousands of AARP Quiz points and buy the gift cards!

Wow!

I've gotten the Carnival gift cards from AARP before, $100 and $500 denominations. Easy way to save 10%.

I mentioned once before that I use AARP-EXPEDIA for a lot of hotel bookings due to discount .. And FYI everyone - Age 55 is the starting age for AARP!

That's great GrandmaJo!

Thanks for the info. I have never used any of these.

Yep, I'm too young for AARP :)

Yes, so many cards 'give' us all these terrific benefits. I use these extra bonuses whenever I can. Loyalty points are a great perk!

Thanks for explaining you do not have to be an AARP member to receive the AARP Rewards for Good benefit -- you are too young !! Surprised you are looking at that site. (But a VERY nice find/discovery). Thanks for sharing.
