Bad coffee on board

If you’re like me and hate that liquid coffee in the buffet urns, I may have found something. Trader Joe’s has an instant coffee in individual servings. 10 per box. Just a couple of $$. Comes with milk and sugar in the mix. As instants go it’s pretty good, better than the coffee at the buffet. Just mix with hot water.

LOL .. just need a wide tolerance for coffee quality .. as long as one does not have to chew the coffee over much it is usually palatable. Good is not the same as palatable or acceptable. I too (as I think I initially said) have never encountered "bad" coffee.

Only RCCL and NCL so not high end ships at all. Not used to bad coffee either but maybe not super fussy as some.

then you either take high end ships, or you’re used to bad coffee

Awesome, I'll be getting some. To bad we can't bring a coffee pot and our own creamer.

I purchase on line. The instant is a medium roast. You can buy light roast, medium and dark roast in whole bean, ground and pods.

I really enjoy their coffee and there customer service is second to none.

@Bubba54, I've not heard of that brand, Black Rifle Coffee. Do you purchase online or in stores? Dark Roast? Medium? Thank you.

I have only had it at the buffets and dining rooms at breakfast and the coffee shop on the freedom of the season and to be honest I am not super fussy when it comes to coffee. I have had some terrible stuff in some places but never on a cruise ship but then again I have only been on 3 cruises so far.

anywhere? on any ships? very lucky indeed, I have found it can not only vary from ship to ship but more interestingly from venue to venue on the same ship.. we get a pot every am with a continental breakfast delivered. then out for a real breakfast, wherever, then mebbe an occasional lunch either buffet or mdr, then dinner, either mdr or specialty...and I can state without hesitation sometimes the coffee is great, sometimes we don't drink it after the first sip. whether its from urns or being brewed somewhere out of sight doesn't matter. I don't think its a plot to get you to pay extra, and even if it is, we won't. we pay for enough "extras".

I have never found any coffee anywhere on the ships as being bad.

I usually deal with it, but this next one, I plan on taking some instant packs with me. I usually take the Starbucks ones to the track when we are in the RV but I might try the once mentioned here as an alternative. I love coffee but it wasn't very good on out last cruise, so i just went without and drank my Spark instead.
