What is Aft???

Yep, aft is a direction or description, not a place. (But folks will know what you mean if you use it as a place.)

You go aft you go toward the "stern". The stern isn't the "aft".

Nah... I still had time to edit. Big Smile

Sorry, I was editing

In a British Pub it's a Pont of Aft.

If only this were the old FV.........Wink

AFT is short for DRAFT. It's the beer that comes out of the taps. Bartender, I'll have another aft !

In Northern NJ, aft, is short for "have to" as in I have to go home, becomes, I af-t go home, or my dad will be po'd. Or, chuck me the ball so I don't af-t kick your a$$.

Good grief.... are you kidding us?Surprised

Yes, it is the back of the ship.

Bow (or Fore) comes before, and Aft comes Afterwards.

Port is Left (4 letters) and starboard is Right. (of course, this is only when facing the front (bow) of the ship.

The pointy end of the ship is the bow, the round end or the back of the ship is aft. Starboard is the right side of the ship and port is the left side while facing the bow.
