Norwegian to Debut New Episode of ‘EMBARK’ Series on July 29

Norwegian Cruise Line is set to debut the third episode of its behind-the-scenes docuseries on Thursday, July 29, 2021. This episode, entitled “All Hands on Deck”, will cover how the cruise line is preparing for its comeback and the new processes being developed for the resumption of cruising. The ‘EMBARK’ series is being filmed in real-time, giving guests a look at what the line is currently in process of working on as it prepares its ships to go back out to the seas. 

Viewers tuning into the episode can expect to get an insider's look at the new protocol and technologies that the line is developing will not only support health and safety but also enhance the overall guest experience for cruisers. Norwegian will also provide a first look at its new cruise terminal in PortMiami, which the line says will be an “iconic beacon of the Miami skyline”.

“All Hands on Deck” will also allow viewers to follow Norwegian executives including Frank Del Rio, president and chief executive officer of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, and Harry Sommer, brand president, and chief executive officer of Norwegian Cruise Line, to visit the Norwegian Gem. The vessel will be the first ship to sail from the new NCL terminal in PortMiami when it returns to service this August. 

“The last year has been an incredible journey, and we are beyond ready to welcome our guests back in just a few weeks when Norwegian Jade becomes the first ship in the fleet to return to service,” Sommer remarked. “Our return has been 500 days in the making, and now we are putting the finishing touches on every detail of the guest experience to ensure we come back in the best and safest way imaginable.”

Norwegian Cruise Line will officially resume operations on July 25, 2021, sailing the Norwegian Jade from Athens, Greece. The line will resume sailing from the U.S. beginning August 7, 2021, sailing Norwegian Encore on 7-night Alaska itineraries from Seattle.
