Norwegian Announces Debut for Next Episode of ‘EMBARK’ Docuseries

Norwegian Cruise Line is set to premiere the fourth episode of its ‘EMBARK’ behind-the-scenes docuseries on September 9. The newest episode, entitled ‘Welcome Aboard’, will pick back up with the story of the cruise line resuming sailing following its global suspension of operations in 2020. 

‘Welcome Aboard’ will focus on the Norwegian Jade, as it becomes the first ship in the line’s fleet to welcome passengers back onboard after 500 days of a pause in operations. According to Norwegian, “viewers will witness the emotional moments when crew reunites for the first time after many months, as well as their excitement to do what they do best – deliver memorable cruise experiences.” The episode will cover the final preparations being taken by the line and all of the crew before passengers get back on board. 

“We have been building up to this moment when we finally set sail after a long 500-day journey back to cruising,” said Harry Sommer, president, and chief executive officer of Norwegian Cruise Line. “From the beginning, we set out to bring travelers along as we innovated and prepared for our Great Cruise Comeback. Now, in this fourth episode, we bring viewers along to see and feel the emotions and excitement of safely reuniting with our guests, crew, and the destinations we’ve missed for over the last year.”

Norwegian Cruise Line is currently successfully sailing in Europe, the Caribbean, and in Alaska. Ships currently in service include Norwegian Jade, sailing Greek Isles itineraries from Athens, Norwegian Encore, sailing Alaska itineraries from Seattle, and Norwegian Gem, cruising the Caribbean from Miami. A number of Norwegian ships are slated to resume operations this fall. Beginning in September, both Norwegian Epic and Norwegian Getaway will resume sailing the Mediterranean from Rome. Norwegian Breakaway will also resume cruising next month from New York, offering 7-night sailings to Bermuda.
