Norwegian Cruise Line has announced its return to sailing for July 25, 2021. To give dedicated cruisers and prospective consumers alike a glimpse into their return to sailing process, NCL will debut ‘EMBARK - The Series’ on Thursday, April 15, 2021, at 8 pm ET. This five-episode docuseries is the very first of its kind chronicling NCL executives and various departments across the line with their preparations and changes to return to sailing.

“While the idea for EMBARK with NCL was born from the need to engage with our extended NCL family of guests, partners and team members during this pandemic, the platform will not only allow us to share our journey leading up to the redeployment of our fleet this summer, but it will enable us to directly share news of future products, offerings and innovations,” said Norwegian Cruise Line Vice President of Communication and Events Christine Da Silva.

The first episode EMBARK series is entitled the ‘Great Cruise Comeback’ and will give an overarching look at the brand as it prepares for its full relaunch. The focus of the episode will center around new health measures being implemented by the line for a safe return to sailing. Viewers can also expect to see an inside look at new technology that will be incorporated to simplify and enhance the embarkation process for passengers, as well as topics like how the shipboard crew has been managing not sailing over the past year. The episode will also provide a look at how many partners of the line outside the ships, including Miami-based distillery Wynwood Brewing Company, have even been affected by the temporary pause of sailing.

“We are in the business of delivering exceptional experiences around the world and now we are well on our way to doing just that.  We’re looking forward to reconnecting with our guests, crew, employees, and partners through the EMBARK with NCL platform, which will showcase our return to cruise journey through the people of NCL,” remarked Sommers in the line’s official announcement.

Good Day! I am currently booked on 4 future NCL cruises the first being the Pride of American on Oct. 23, 2021. Will there be a limit to the number of guests booked on the ships? Let's say no more than 50% occupancy to start?

This is a bit much, a series about a cruise line restarting...come on, now! It wasn't the end of the world.
