Crystal Relaunching Summer 2023
It's official - Crystal is coming back! The reimagined luxury cruise line will sail once again in summer 2023.
This past June, it was reported that ships Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity had been purchased by the A&K Travel Group.
Today, Crystal Cruises announced that it will relaunch under a new name and vision - ‘Crystal – Exceptional at Sea’. The cruise line has debuted a new website and branding, under the guardianship of A&K Travel Group.
Formal operations of the cruise line relaunch will begin on July 31, 2023, with Crystal Serenity sailing the Mediterranean from Marseille, France. Crystal Symphony will resume sailing on September 1, 2023, from Athens, Greece.
The brand has spent the past few months refurbishing Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity. Guests of both ships will be able to enjoy the following new amenities and experiences:
- Redesigned Cabins & Suites - The suites and guest rooms have been made larger, with updated details and contemporary designs. Suites will feature marble quarried from Italy, modern furnishings, and fine cotton linens.
- Upgraded Dining - Crystal has revamped its food and beverage program, with dining options available on each ship. The cruise line will add a new series featuring guest chefs that are connected to destinations visited on sailings.
- Cutting-Edge Wellness Programs - The spa and the gym on both vessels have been revamped, with larger spaces with more offerings. Wimbledon courts will host both paddle tennis and pickleball. Other new wellness features will include a large pool and a leading spa program.
Port visits on Crystal sailings have become even more seamless with the addition of Abercrombie & Kent’s ground arrangements. A&K is well known for not only its superb service, but its ability to provide exclusive access to destinations and the world’s leading tour guides.
“I am delighted to announce that Crystal is reborn, with Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony reimagined and enhancements made to every part of our guests’ journey,” said Crystal president Jack Anderson. “Palatial suites, spacious verandas and guest rooms have been rolled out on both ships, reducing overall guest capacity. Personalized service – long a Crystal signature – has been elevated further. Dining is a journey through culinary specialties, with authentic food from around the globe. Local experts at Abercrombie & Kent have planned memorable experiences in each destination to guarantee beyond-the-guidebook access.”
Crystal’s two ships will spend the 2023 and 2024 seasons sailing to destinations around the globe. Announced voyages include itineraries in the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Canada/New England, Alaska, the Caribbean, Panama Canal, the Middle East, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.
Travel Advisors (and guests with Open Deposits) can book 2023-2024 sailings starting now. Bookings will open up to the general public later in February. We will share additional details as they become available.
