Sources have reported that multiple Crystal Cruises vessels have officially been sold. This week, The Supreme Court in the Bahamas held an auction for two Crystal Ocean vessels, Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity, both of which secured bids higher than expected.

According to Cruise Industry News, Crystal Serenity garnered a whopping $103 million from a buyer listed as ‘CDE Ltd,’ and Crystal Symphony's successful bidder listed as ‘CSY Ltd’ secured the ship for $25 million.

No additional information about the buyers or plans for the ships has been shared at this time. The Crystal Symphony departed Freeport on Tuesday, June 15th, according to MarineTraffic.com. The vessel is off the coast and expected to pull back into Freeport today, June 16, 2022. The Crystal Serenity also departed Freeport yesterday and is currently sailing North with a destination marked as unknown. To follow the ship live, click here

Additionally, Silverseas Cruises is expected to acquire the expedition vessel Crystal Endeavor. This ship would be a great addition to the Silversea fleet, allowing the brand to expand its popular expedition sailings. The vessel made its debut in late 2019 with a capacity to hold 200 passengers in 99 total cabins.

Silverseas Cruises registered patents on the name ‘Silver Endeavor’ on June 8. The ship is docked in Gibraltar, where it has remained since February 2022. Silversea has yet to confirm its acquisition of Crystal Endeavor officially.

Expedition operator Lindblad Expeditions acquired the former Crystal Esprit in September 2021 and renamed the vessel National Geographic Islander II. The newly rebranded ship began sailing in the Galapagos this past April.

These updates provide some insights to close out the story of the uncertain future of Crystal Cruises. Unfortunately, no details about potential buyers for any other Crystal Cruises vessels have been made public.

This is a breaking news story. We will continue to share additional information as it becomes available.
