Located in the Westernmost part of the Bahamas, Bimini is approximately 80 kilometers (50 miles) east of Miami. Bimini is actually made up of two islands affectionately known as North Bimini and South Bimini. The cruise port is located on the North Bimini and the main airport on South Bimini. A local ferry runs between the two islands and costs about $8 per person each way. The cruise pier in Bimini is relatively new, with major cruise lines recently adding this port to their itineraries. When you arrive at the port, enjoy the unspoiled natural beauty of the island. In addition, the port area has an authentic Bahamian vibe and is not overrun with the typical stores found in most Caribbean ports.

With a total population of under 2,000 residents, the islands of Bimini are primarily untouched. However, there are a few resorts on the island. - Resorts World operates a complimentary tram service around North Bimini which stops at the resort for those who want to enjoy a day at the beach, time in the casino, or bite in one of the restaurants on property.

Virgin Voyages was the first to announce its stop at Bimini with an exclusive Beach Club experience. For a few sailings, Crystal Cruises added departures from Bimini or Nassau for their seven-night Bahamas itineraries onboard Crystal Serenity as part of their return to cruising.
