Located in the Westernmost part of the Bahamas, Bimini is approximately 80 kilometers (50 miles) east of Miami. Bimini is actually made up of two islands affectionately known as North Bimini and South Bimini. The cruise port is located on the North Bimini and the main airport on South Bimini. A local ferry runs between the two islands and costs about $8 per person each way. The cruise pier in Bimini is relatively new, with major cruise lines recently adding this port to their itineraries.
