Jewel of the Seas
Sail date: May 22, 2015
We were very disappointed with this cruise for multiple reasons. It took three hours to board the ship in Vancouver. The ship was in dry dock before this and this is the only reason I can think of that the balcony room was dusty and dirty. The steward was a last minute replacement for the regular person and we hardly ever saw him) I complained and they cleaned it. The first night we were sat in terrible seats for dinner (up against a wall and next to the place they dump the dirty dishes). Unfortunately the food in all the restaurants (except where you paid more) was very basic, my son said it reminded him of his college meal plan! The guest assistance desk did not seem to know anything and that was frustrating. This was our second cruse, the first was 12 years ago also on RCCL, all I can say is standards have dropped. Very reluctant to sail with them again especially on an old ship like "Jewel of the Seas", which has definitely seen better days. Think twice before you take this cruise.
A bit boring
You have to take the helicopter ride!
Cruise Tracy Arm Fjord, Alaska
Very enjoyable
Whale watching trip was too long.
