Regal Princess launched in 2014 and was refurbished in 2017. This Royal-class ship from Princess Cruises is an elegant, large cruise ship. It's popular with mature couples, singles, and families seeking a well-rounded cruise with a touch of sophistication. Thanks to its world-class stage shows, plentiful onboard activities, and diverse dining options, Regal Princess offers a dazzling experience that's as vibrant as a Vegas vacation.

On sea days, the ship is your playground. Learn a new skill through Scholarship@Sea, earn a master's in pool-side lounging, or practice with your team on the top-deck sports court. Regal Princess has almost every amenity that you'd expect on an industry-leading mega-ship, minus the rock climbing wall, water park, and endless lines.

If pure relaxation is what you're after, visit the Sanctuary, an adults-only sundeck and pool with a blissful ambiance. Regal has an up-tempo vibe that you can discover at the nightly WaterColor Fantasy fountain show or at one of the parties on the European-style Piazza. The ship has a diverse selection of onboard entertainment, including stand-up, live bands, opera, Broadway-style shows, and a singing competition inspired by the hit TV show, The Voice. There's so much to do, and there's so much eat.

Regal has an excellent selection of complimentary and specialty restaurants that cater to travelers who appreciate good food and quality service. Whether you're a foodie or more of a meat-and-potatoes lover, you’re sure to find something to enjoy. Don't miss Alfredo's, a top-rated sit-down pizzeria serving mouthwatering Neapolitan pies and calzones. There are plenty of gourmet options as well as a fully loaded buffet.

Regal Princess itineraries and departure ports

From November through April, Regal Princess operates Caribbean cruises that depart from New York City and Fort Lauderdale. Starting in December 2020, Regal Princess will cruise from Sydney, Australia, and Auckland, New Zealand. The season kicks off with a transpacific repositioning cruise that leaves from Rome's regional Civitavecchia port and travels through the Suez Canal.

wonderful itinerary with interesting stops! by rmbruns

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Regal Princess

We really enjoyed this cruise, our first 12 day cruise. The average age was probably 75, older than we are, so some of the shows weren't necessarily our style. It is hard to please everyone! all in all, I'd recommend this trip!

If you want to eat in the "specialty" dining rooms make sure to make your arrangements when you board for the week as their availability for same day or day before dining is non existent

There are only two stair wells that go above the 7th floor. If you like to walk the steps and avoid the elevator lines, be aware they are only located at the far front and aft of the ship.
