Pay the extra for Princess, Royal, Celebrity or even MSC. My first two cruises were NCL on the Dreamward and Norway over 30 years ago and I have always held them in high regard. I have not sailed with NCL in the last 15 years and it is sad to see what has become of a once great cruise line. Maybe I shouldn't just by one cruise but if the quality of food and service is consistent across the fleet it's not good.

Be prepared to buy Starbucks because normal coffee was very bad. Americano misto was the best value.

Be prepared not to find one of those ships you see in the movies and on TV. As I mentioned above, it's an old shipo that needs some revamping.

the service and experience aboard the Norwegian Jewel were not only a monumental disappointment but also a stark departure from the expected standards of a reputed cruise line. This cruise was supposed to be a luxurious escape and instead turned into a regrettable ordeal. Based on this experience, I strongly advise potential travelers to reconsider booking with Norwegian Cruise Line, as their commitment to passenger satisfaction appears superficial at best. This was not the sparkling "jewel" experience promised, but rather a tarnished one, best avoided.

Avoid NCL excursions for this cruise. Guides were often impossible to understand, unorganized, late in returning to the ship, did not use any amplification devises. overpriced for what you get!
